Portmahomack Harbour

If you step out of the front door and walk a little way to your right you will see Portmahomack harbour and all the local fishing boats with the occasional yacht that passes through.

Portmahomack was originally a fishing village and is still is a profitable trade practised by those who enjoy the early hours on the sea. Their efforts can be found along the road in the very good Oystercatcher restaurant which includes local lobster and razorfish on the regular menu. Further afield their wares can be found at Bannermans store in Tain where you can also buy authentic haggis and very good sausages.
